Schedule of Activities

 *All musical performances will take place in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall

9 a.m. Opening Ceremonies with Mayor David Allen in the Twin Springs Park gazebo near the St. Francis Clinic's parking lot.

9:30 a.m. Fish 'N Friends will perform Blue Grass songs and traditional gospel. They are mostly local singers and musicians who bring talent equal to their enthusiasm for these old time favorites.

10:45 and approximately once an hour thereafter: Outlaws & Lawmen, a Rowdy Wild West Re-Enactment Group, will provide high frontier drama with their theatrical depictions of days gone by. There will be some gunplay of course, but only the finest "blanks" imported from Hollywood will be used instead of real bullets, and the group is very safety conscious. Not recommended for children age 3 and under.

11-2:00 p.m. - Children's Games hosted by Siloam Springs Parks & Recreation Department and led by their staff: Scott Hodge and Libby Wand. Children will have a rip snorting good time with this fun mixture of old fashioned and contemporary games. Location: gazebo near St. Francis Clinic.

11:00 a.m. Living History Performance: Kathie Clendenen impersonating the infamous outlaw queen Belle Starr and Elizabeth Mathers impersonating her equally infamous daughter Pearl Starr. Location: bench near fountain in Twin Springs Park.

11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.Fish 'N Friends will perform Blue Grass songs and traditional gospel. They are mostly local singers and musicians who bring talent equal to their enthusiasm for these old time favorites.

1:00 p.m. By His Grace Southern Gospel Quartet of Salina, Oklahoma, will sing old-time Southern Gospel music accompanied by electric keyboard and electric bass guitar. This all-male group has sung together 15 years and recorded a CD album.

 2:00 p.m. Walking Tour of the Historical Downtown by Siloam Springs Museum Director Don Warden. It will be a comparatively short tour, within only a three-block area. The focus will be on Fred Bartell and early Siloam Springs’ history. Meet in front of the Hoffmann Clinic.

3-5:00 p.m. Chesco River Country Variety Show, a two-hour extravaganza that will include gospel, country western, and western swing tunes performed by the Chesco River Band, lively dancing by the Chesco River Cloggers, comedy and guest performers.

 

All Day Long in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall

 

Mary Griffith of Siloam Springs will be selling and demonstrating how she makes her handmade paper jewelry.

 Dogwood Lacers of Northwest Arkansas will be demonstrating bobbin lace making and tatting. They meet the first Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale. For additional information call Jenny Coleman at 479-925-2823. The Dogwood Lacers are a chapter of the International Old Lacers, Inc.

 D.A. Woodson Studio - Gourd art, fine art prints and drawings with wolf, floral and other themes, T-shirts featuring original art, and fossils. She will demonstrate drawing and painting.

 Civil War Artifacts from the C.W. Webb Collection. You will have the opportunity to see some of the most interesting pieces from his extensive private collection. He will be in costume and his artifacts will be on display inside the Fellowship Hall.

 Exquisite Victorian Jewelry and Women's Accessories from Anne Webb's Collection will be displayed. She will also be in costume and will provide fascinating details about the elaborate mourning rituals observed by Victorian women.

 Siloam Springs Memorabilia Display, featuring varied and exotic items from Don Cundiff's Collection. Don has been collecting Siloam Springs memorabilia for decades. If you have Siloam Springs memorabilia (nothing that was made later than the 1950s) and would like to sell or trade them, be sure to track Don down in the First United Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall.

 Picture Me Studio of Siloam Springs will be offering unique Heritage Photos. Get a photo of yourself in front of historic photo backdrops.

 The Southern Memorial Association was founded in 1872 by a group of Fayetteville, Arkansas, women to begin building the Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville. They now provide the care and funding for the maintenance of the Confederate Cemetery in Fayetteville.

 Shari & Neda's Indian Fry Bread and Indian Tacos. The fry bread is prepared in the Navaho fashion and is very popular. Drinks and candy will also be served.

 Bruce Hipp will be spooning up cornbread and gussied-up beans. The beans recipe is a family secret and you'll love the taste.

Farmers Market Vendors – The Siloam Springs Farmers Market is coordinated by Main Street Siloam Springs.

 Juggler Galen Harp of the Institute of Jugglology in Fayetteville will wow you with his manual dexterity and dexterous digits.

 James Howell, Neil Garrison and Flintknapper Friends will demonstrate the traditional, ancient methods of making arrowheads, scrapers and other stone tools and will have some unique handmade glass art items for sale.

 Ballard Holler Wood Shop - offering hand crafted wood pieces: messenger boards, jewelry boxes and more. Custom and special orders are accepted.

 Robert Burgess of RD Canyon Ranch will be selling turned wood products. He will have bowls and ink pens that have been hand turned on a wood lathe. The woods used are native and exotic.

 Diana Shannon will be selling country-themed paintings, painted glass and ceramic items and saws. She teaches art classes in Siloam Springs and Kansas, Oklahoma and has decades of experience in creating her popular, colorful artwork.

 Author Kirby Sanders will be selling and autographing copies of his recently published Driver's Guide to the Butterfield Overland Mail Route, published by Heritage Trail Partners.

 Northwest Arkansas Gem & Mineral Society - Displays of gem stones, minerals and more along with information about them and the society.

 Arkoma Coin & Relic Club - Displays of historic and more recent artifacts discovered by members using metal detectors.

 Mystic Metalworks of Elkins, Arkansas will be selling hand constructed metal wind spinners and windchimes.

 Rick Vickers from Overton, Texas will be selling fabric and leather handbags and wallets.

 Misty Dawn's Handmade Jewelry - hand crafted fashion jewelry for adults and children made in various styles to suit any taste. Misty will offer demonstrations of how to make earrings at 10:00 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. She will also be giving away one pair of earrings during each demonstration.

 Cactus Flower – Linda Crawford of Wellston, Oklahoma, will be selling decorative ceramics and barn wood items with country themes.

Olde Tyme Foods – Steve Hotchkiss from Fayetteville will be dishing out kettle corn and cinnamon glazed almonds and pecans.

 Suzie's On Dogwood will offer Suzie's famous homemade chicken salad sandwiches on homemade wheat bread, traditional American fare such as hamburgers, hot dogs and soda pop and a selection of her made from scratch desserts-to-die-for.

 Chicago Style Meat will thrill meat lovers with Italian beef, Italian sausage, Italian beef/sausage combo, Chicago style Vienna Dogs, and Vienna Polish Sausage, as well as Nachos, Big Soft Pretzels, Big Soft Chocolate Pretzels, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Tea and various soft drinks.

#1 Snowcones - Cool down with this refreshing summertime treat. Candy will also be for sale.

 Thomas Holmes will offer home grilled hot dogs, nachos and Frito chile pies.
